Do I need to book all three stages?
No. Most of our designs are built by our team, which gives you the best value and a single point of responsibility from concept to completion. Some households do come to us for design only and implement it themselves. Maintain & Prosper is available separately, currently on a quarterly basis with options for more regular support, for all gardens constructed by us.
What suburbs do you service?

How long does a typical project take?
Once we lock in a consultation that suits you, your design will be ready in three to six weeks depending on the package. If you continue straight into construction we’ll offer you the next available build window. Construct & Plant timelines depend on scope, and you’ll get a clear estimate at your consult.
Do I need a permit for landscaping work?
Sometimes. Certain retaining walls, structures like pergolas or decks over a set size, and the removal of protected trees can all require council approval in Melbourne. We flag anything that needs a permit during Design & Consult, well before construction starts.
I have very heavy clay soil, Can you work with that?
Absolutely. Most of our service area — Coburg, Brunswick and Preston especially — sits on heavy volcanic basalt clay. We amend the soil structure and select plants that tolerate or thrive in it, rather than fighting the soil your site naturally has.
When is the best time of year to start a landscaping project in Melbourne?
Any time is fine, because you start with design. We work year round and will guide you on the best window for your particular project. Autumn and spring are generally best for planting, giving new plants a full season to establish before extreme heat or cold, design and construction can begin in any season.
Can you work with an existing garden, or only full redesigns?
Both. We have packages that rejuvenate an established landscape as well as full clearance and redesign, depending on what your garden needs and how far you want to take it.
Do you design for water efficiency?
